Our Story

The story behind Ender's Wish Foundation — why we started, who Ender is, and our mission.

Why we started

Ender's Wish Foundation was founded by Alexis Cornelius, who decided she was tired of saying "someone should do something" and wanted to be that someone.

The foundation is named after Ender — a rescue dog who didn't need saving from illness or injury, just someone to choose him. He found a home, safety, and a family, and that's exactly what Ender's Wish Foundation exists to give other animals: a safe place to land, and people who show up for them.

We're a community-powered animal welfare organization based in Menifee, California. Our work centers on foster care, volunteer support, and practical help for animals who are scared, injured, abandoned, or otherwise in crisis.

Our mission

We connect fosters, volunteers, and community partners to provide animals in need with emergency care, supplies, and the steady support that helps them move from crisis toward safety.
